Many people wonder if men are too macho to receive flowers for special occasions. During a recent study held in the United States, men were interviewed from all around the country; from all types of jobs and all types of religions, as well as bikers, and other typical males. The result was that 60% of the men which were interviewed stated that they would not feel offended if they received flowers from anyone.
Women were also interviewed as well. They were asked if they would give flowers to a man on special occasions; and the answer was amazing. Most of the women said yes they would, however, some women thought that it would be out of place as an idea for their particular man.

The research stated that as men do not mind receiving flowers; what type of flowers would be given? The answer was that it depended mostly on what type of flowers a man likes. Other idea's which were given was what type of flowers a man likes the most, who the flowers were from and a reason why.
It is alright for men to receive flowers for any type of holiday or season. Flowers for Men, has only recently become more popular, as it was not proper or in other words manly for a man to receive flowers. However, flowers for a man's office was considered to be very appropriate, as it would perk up the office and create an easy atmosphere in the room.
Flowers for men could include plants such as cactus, trees, and beautifully designed and decorated bamboo plants, bonsai trees, beautiful oriental flowers such as the Hawaiian Birds of Paradise, Mardi Gras Orchids, assorted Tulips, and seasonal flower arrangements, which would bring out the colors of each season. Men like cactus and succulents because they are is very little maintenance to keep them alive; and they do make great decorations to an apartment and even other rooms in their home.
Shopping for men can be a very challenging experience. Men are very hard to buy for. Men are always receiving gifts which they really do not need nor want. So the question that many women may ask themselves is what he would think of me if I gave him an arrangement of flowers? Flowers are traditionally for women, because they bring out the femininity in them. Nowadays however, flowers are not just about the feminine side or the pretty petals.
Flowers are thought of as an appreciated gift idea, and can make a very big surprise as a present for a man; especially if the man in your life is someone who really loves you. This shows a man about the finer things in life. There are many men who love to do gardening in the spring and who also grow their own herbs and vegetables as well.
