Do Men Like Receiving Flowers?

I recently read a study about women buying flowers for men (link can be found at the bottom of this article). The study claimed that "over 60% of men surveyed would like to receive flowers on Valentine's Day". I thought it was really interesting because I, like many others, had the clear stereotype in my head that men would think flowers are girly and would not like receiving them.

So we put the question out to our own Magic Of Romance users ...

\"Flowers For Men\"

On our own poll, 32% of our male community claimed they'd actually "like to receive flowers more often than [they] do now". 54% answered "I get them for special occasions and that's fine". While only 14% claimed they received "too many flowers".

Do Men Like Receiving Flowers?

Our female community was quite united in their answer - 72% said " I'd like to receive flowers more often than I do now". Followed by 27% claiming "I get them for special occasions and that's fine". And lastly, only 1% answered "I receive too many flowers".

Flowers are a great way to show you care and appreciate your partner - women and men!

So for our male community - nearly three out of four women claimed they'd like to receive flowers more often than they do now. That means there's a pretty good chance you're love is one of them. Try sending elegant white calla lilies or cheerful colored tulips - it may just be the perfect reminder of your appreciation for her.

For all the women out there thinking about testing out this new theory, here are some tips from the Society of American Florists, the national trade association for the flower industry:

o "Men are stimulated by color and are visually oriented. Research shows that men prefer vivid colors such as yellow, orange, and red."

o "Flower arrangements that are contemporary, linear styles or natural styles are best. Other favorites might include green or flowering plants."

Men want to feel appreciated too - so try it out, send them flowers!

Something as simple as sending flowers may seem like a small gesture, but they're known to have a positive lasting impact on the receiver's happiness. Try sending them on random days as a "just because I love you" reminder.
